I smell SMOLDERING, SMOKING HOT, SEX APPEALING RED!  And it’s not just for lipstick or Louboutin’s anymore, folks.  It is all over Fall’s most stylish heads!

I must admit, I am tempted, tempted, tempted.  Sigh.  Once upon a time, I was THIS red.  Yes, I know, hard to believe because I am platinum blond now, (partly by choice, partly by DNA) but I was an auburn haired vixen with way too much energy.  Okay, I still have WAY too much energy, but you get the picture.

I think I also smell a trend coming soon.  My instincts are usually good for far away trend-spotting and I think that the Karen Elson look of the 90′s will come back strong. While there is ALOT of poker straight, white blond all over Europe this Fall, as evidenced throughout London, Paris and Milan Fashion Weeks, I think the world is ready for a hard dose of outright fire-y glamour and sensuality. And what better colour to convey that than red?

With a color like red, you can literally wash and go. The shade holds its own in the morning and in a crowded soiree in the evening.

Another super thing about being red haired is that it instantly does your makeup for you, acts literally as a strong hued accessory, and gives dimension to any hair style.  It is also an immensely flattering shade on skintones from ivory to olive, and highlights the blue in blue eyes, brightens green, and deepens a warm brown eye as well. What more can a beauty and fashionista ask for!

Is it high maintenance? Yep it sure is! It fades, it takes forever to get out, just like black dye does,but it is easy to touch up at home with the right product. Schwartzkopf makes a great red selection! Just pick a shade!  Auburn, flaming, soft strawberry, deep burgundy….the options are endless, and PERFECT for FALL!

But just like any str0ngly flattering style addiction,  aren’t you worth it?  L’oreal, and Jeane B., think so!
