CBS has announced a contest calling for fashion fans from all over the country to upload an original video that could help them earn the title of Fashion’s Number One Fan!!

After a period public voting to narrow down the finalists, CBS, Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and New York City & Company will select one winner to be flown to New York City for the biggest fashion party in history: Fashion’s Night Out 2010.

Beginning Tuesday, July 27, fashionistas nationwide are invited to upload a 30- to 90-second video of themselves explaining why they love fashion for the chance to be chosen as Fashion’s Number One Fan and win a trip to New York City for Fashion’s Night Out. CBS will choose the Top 10 video entries to be posted on CBS.com for one week – from August 24 to August 31 – during which people can log on to vote for their favorite and help determine the five finalists that will be in contention for the grand prize.

On September 3, a panel of experts from CBS, Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and New York City & Company will select one of the five finalists as Fashion’s Number One Fan. The lucky winner will win a trip to New York City in September to be a part of the biggest fashion party in history: Fashion’s Night Out 2010!

So, of course, I went crazy at Cosmoprof 2010 and Beauty Week in Vegas last week.

Fun?  OMG.

You can lose your mind there because there is so much to see, (700 brands from ALL OVER THE WORLD!!!)

and so much to experience there as well.  It is just a blast blast blast!!

There are new brands, just launching at the show brands, older established brands, and everything in between.

From masssage chairs, to state of the art manicure and pedicure products, to mascara that is waterproof yet makes your lashes grow while it is on, to organic skincare made from fair trade coffee,

COSMOPROF has it all , each and every year!

I am going to run a series of super interviews with some of my very favorite brands from this years show, starting today!

First up?

So what is on your healthy hair MUST HAVE NOW list?

But I hate to look shlumpy and unkempt when I am even my most casual, so here are a few items  to help “keep it classy”  while working off your Fourth of July BBQ indulgences!

Number one MUST HAVE :  a cute, FLATTERING, hip and wider legged lounge pant, perfect for in studio, dashes to the mini mart, or at home lounge.

Enter the BRAVADA boyfriend fit pant,  and ONE SIZE fits pretty much all!

SO comfy, SO flattering on the rear view , and SUPER high quality. Breathable, easy wash, easy dry.

Pretty much perfect and I want about 5 pairs.

Trying to find an excuse to wear on camera so I never have to take them off!

Number four MUST HAVE: the eternally chic swim suit…EURO STYLE!

Man, this is ONE HOT SUIT!  Shay Todd dreamed it up, and I am dying for it.

It just looks flattering and wearable and nifty and unique, and did I mention that I love the colour?

Number five MUST HAVE:  an age appropriate, Jackie O level tunic/ cover up for un-sunning by the pool cabana,drinking a sugar free mojito, and looking amazing in general.

3.1 Philip Lim, naturally.

Oh, and it goes with everything in this sheer white , and will look darling over shorts, capris, jeans, swimwear, etcetera.:)

Number six MUST HAVE :  James Perse eternally comfortable, length forgiving, wobbly-bit covering, white classic , (not boring though) shorts.

SUCH a nice soft cotton, and SUCH a nice little travel item. Wherever you are lucky enough to get to this season!

and last, but not least, number seven MUST HAVE:

the perfect wrap/ pareo by Roberto Cavalli, for drying off, un-sunning and draping over your shoulders in a too cool room or evening breeze!

Timeless animal print chic in a complexion flattering shade of pink!  Light, breezy and eazzzzzzyyyyyyy!
